EXTERNAL BODY / RUNTIME
Definitions travel. State has a place.
Skill definitions describe reusable methods; paths, credentials, models and measurements belong to each device or deployment’s runtime state.
Removable state
A reusable definition should not depend on one host’s private settings. State may be migrated or replaced within its own authorization and recovery boundaries; the new setting still needs its own verification.
Continuity is not identical copies
Source, code, registry and running service can carry different parts of one object. LIFS addresses some of the storage, consistency and propagation questions first explored in Xuan by tracking identity, location and relationships. It is a current engineering approach, not the completion of the whole Xuan framework.
